What does it mean in Japanese?

Sei Heki has an outer and inner meaning. “One’s inclination or disposition” returns us to our true self. This is our natural state. It is also known as Heaven Ki, which balances out the Earth Ki of Choku Rei (see the Choku Rei chant below) and, therefore, represents Harmony. Chanting Sei Heki helps us remember what it is to BE Reiki.

How to Join in Chanting

To chant from the hara (腹 – belly), focus your attention on the area about two inches below your navel. Breathe deeply into your hara, allowing your abdomen to expand. As you exhale, chant “Sei Heki” while maintaining awareness of your hara. This chanting technique is also linked to heavenly ki, which is expansive and unlimited.
